this is a social construct project: it invites other artists and those who support more spontaneous activity in our daily routines to come together this friday night to do a guerilla installation. we installed these swings under the holton bridge, in the media garden on the east side of the marsupial which connects many a neighborhood. these swings add purpose to our urban infrastructure and a playful interruption to those passing by. it is our hope that the installation will serve as not only an element of recreation, but as a point of reconsideration for these leftover spaces in our city.

thanks to sarah at the bayview home depot for providing these ropes, and pete at the port washington home depot for a big donation of cull lumber which we tapped once again for the large platform swing!  so true to their slogan you can do it, we can help.  so many thanks.  people love it!
